How many of your friends and family have got hashimotos disease?
seems like half of those i know have got iton the same medicine too never seen anything like itif its a real disease whats causing thisenvironment making every one tired ,lifestyle making everyone sickautoimume or over perscription ,most are unrealated and yeah im feeling tired too but whats causing this over servicing,good marketing,could it be we are really oxigendeprived or poisend from the air water i just cant get how come so many are on the subsidised and dangerous medicationsome ones cleaning up but whats cause?i understand the heridity thing but its across the blood related thing it happens i went to canberra stayed at the tent embassy,found that many people have that they call a poor thyroid condition,seems as if if you go to a docter thats the first tests they do,its not as if its curing thge disease they still feel tired then someone said,well nevermindits a sign of the times,how much is this sign revealing ,all signs have a reason,has the medicine cured anything or simply added to the thyroids disfunctioningif therrs enough thyroid in the system it dosnt kick in and make it thus will in time not work at allmy pigions had it because they were iodine deficient all i had to do was add condies chrystals in thier water,s are these tablets but condies christles in a more expensivly marketed form?good marketing making up for natual deficiencies in our water or food?they come in so any dosages,are we getting good true measure or a good marketing service,hose tests alone are easy $

Ok, my mom is under the age of 40, 38 to be specific, lately she has been going to the doctor to check her thyroid, apparently she has issues with it, and today she has mentioned to me about the fact that she may have hashimoto's disease, now I am getting worried to be honest with you. I have no clue what this hashimoto's disease is, neither do I know anything about it. Can you please tell me about it, is it fatal, is there a cure for it, does it go away?? I have hashimotos disease which is a hypothyroid disease and my skin on my face has been super dry and has been beginning to break out in certain areas .. this NEVER use to happen and the dryness is driving me crazy Please help Suggestions? If your dealing with hypothyroid disease are you on medication? Could this be reason for skin problems? I take generic form of synthroid levathyroxine and have been for 2 and a half months now.. I am due for another blood test, but if this comes up as 'within normal' I don't know what I am going to do. I am not just not losing weight, but I am actually gaining it I have four children and am renovating a house at the moment, I shouldn't even have the time to gain weight I don't want to be thin, but I'd like to be a sort of average size. Help I feel huge I know that snook That is half the problem, I don't eat that much any way, never really very hungry. Hubby does the cooking, lots of fresh food, trust me nothing ever comes from a tin in our house Wiz, am on 150mg, don't know if that's a lot or not Caroline, I lost a patch of hair at the front of my head, and it was awful, it was in a place that you could not disguise, even with the best styling technique. Love to all fellow sufferers. Oh and btw for those who think we are overeaters we don't need to be told about calorie intake, this is one of those diseases that doesn't work like that Kissmy... I do eat fresh food, veggies and fruit are already a major part of my diet see above. Why do I bother to add additional details if no one bothers to read them

Newly diagnosed hashimotos disease?
I found out in January that I had hypothyroidism during my first month of pregnancy. I was put on .25 synthyroid and towards the end of the pregnancy doubled to .50 because the .25 couldn't keep up. Now three months post partum, I am going back and forth between hypo and hyper. My neck is very thick around the base, dr thinks my thyroid is enlarged, and now my body temp stays around a constant 96 97 degrees. I have an ultrasound on Wednesday to check things out. My throat is also tender to the touch and a constant tight sensation. I'm so freaked about thyroid cancer or something. Are they common symptoms of hasimoto's or thyroiditis?
