Could my health problems be related to "hyperthyroidism?"?
I've been having some health issues over the past couple years, including inability to keep weight on, indigestion, tiredness depression anxiety, and most recently, hair thinning loss. I looked on webMD and it sounded like hyperthyroidism had most of the symptoms I am experiencing. Could my health issues be related to this?" Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone. Excess thyroid hormone can cause symptoms such as tiredness, weight loss, increased heart rate, heat intolerance, sweating, irritability, anxiety."
How to feel better? I just got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism?
Okay so Friday night I got diagnosed and I had already been sick for two weeks and firstly they mis diagnosed me but they soon worked it out. I have been up in the hospital two days in a row and when I was there I felt fine and calm and I was distracted from it but now that I am back home and still in pain I feel terrible. Not because of the pain but my emotions. They said it would be overwhelming and I will get all upset on and off and I took nothing from it because I hadn't but now it is just arghh I am 14 so of course living with my parents and they want me to stop winging about it because there is nothing they can do and there actually isn't. I am on new medication and stuff but I just want to know how to feel better and happy quickly. Also part of the reason why I am so sad is because I cannot go to a big school event that was going to be held tomorrow. So help ?

Do you think I have hyperthyroidism ?
I have been feeling awful lately and two different doctors I went to thought that they were thyroid related. My tsh test came back at 1.13, which is at the low end of normal, so they just dismissed it and gave up on me. I wasn't tested for t3 and t4, however. Basically, my symptoms are fatigue, weakness, dizzyness, irritability, anxiety, weird weight loss, frequent bathroom use, sweating, insomnia, tremors, fast pulse and Clammy skin and trouble thinking straight. I'm a 19 year old female. Should I ask for the t3 and t4 tests to be done? Thyroid problems also run in my family.

Chances of Hyperthyroidism?
I am a 22 yr old female with very irregular periods very light bleeding where I have to wipe to see it or absent. Occasionally when I do have a period I bleed for 2 4 weeks at a time , newly diagnosed tachycardia last doctors appointment my heart rate was 142 bpm, but normally ranges anywhere from 110 130 BPM on a regular basis...it has been YEARS since my BPM was under 100 , normal blood pressure ranging from 117 78 to 120 80 , anemia, " sweaty" palms clammy skin, dry & itchy skin, mild acid reflux, frequent headaches, flushing of the face worse with activity , history of chest pains, heart palpitations, trouble staying asleep although I rarely have trouble going to sleep as I am normally exhausted by the end of the day, I can not stand to be hot I don't care to even eat " hot" food, I prefer it to be room temperature and if I get over heated, embarrassed or the least bit nervous, I get heat rash. I get short of breath easily and in the past couple months have started to slowly lose weight total of 4 6 lbs since May without trying. I am under constant stress due to my job and constantly worry about everything. I went to the doctor in October who ran " baseline" blood work. Everything was " normal" except my CBC which indicated I had anemia. I take 75mg of Zantac at bedtime and 65mg of Iron in the morning before work. During the baseline blood work my TSH levels were in the " normal range" and they recommended that I see a cardiologist due to the tachycardia. They did not offer to do any additional testing for the thyroid. I had my appointment with the cardiologist and he stated the even though my TSH levels were " normal" that I may still have a thyroid disorder. He ordered for my to have a T 3, Thyroxin Total Profile, Free T 4 and a 24 hour urine analysis, which I have not had done yet. They preformed an EKG which showed no abnormalities except for the tachycardia. He said I have a really strong, steady heart beat. Is it possible to have normal TSH levels and still have hyperthyroidism as many of my symptoms are suggesting so?
Graves / Hyperthyroidism - What are my treatment options long term?
Hello all, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism this summer, I've been told this is because of Graves disease. I've been taking Carbimazole for 6 months or so at first it was 40mg then upped to 60mg a month ago. I was taking propanalol but have since stopped taking these, as they didn't agree with me.I had an appointment with the endocrinologist today and he wanted to know if I had thought about long term treatments. Up to that point I was under the impression that the Carbimazole would level out my hormones and I could just stop taking them, end of. He was pushing surgery but said Iodine drops were an alternative. I don't like the idea of either to be honest because, as I understand it, they will both make me Hypo for the rest of my life. What other options are there?
