Is it possible I may have thyroid cancer?
I have neck pain and assymetrical tonsils, hair loss, paleness, cold hands, weight loss.... doctors tell me im fine without doing tests, and i have a sore throat which was diagnosed as acid reflux...can they be wrong ...may i have something like cancer...?

Can thyroid cancer be seen with CT? Neck Swollen?
My neck has felt swollen on and off for about 6 months to a year. I went to the doctor for it and she sent me for a CT. Said that was fine and I haven't been back for it. It goes away and comes back and just today it's been hurting and so I'm going to make an appointment to see her and see if there's something else that can be tested to see if that's the cause. I do have hashimoto's thyroiditis and have for over 20 years. I did have a goiter, but was told there wasn't one a few years ago. Any thoughts about if cancer would have been seen with a CT or something I can research to have a better idea of questions I could ask my doctor would be great. Thanks. Also, I took kelp tablets a few years back and while doing this, it caused this same swollen neck pain. I really think it was related to the kelp which would be iodine. I have only seen how kelp is supposed to help neck swollen pain. So that seems strange to me that I'd be different. I'd love your thoughts and ideas.

im a 23 yr old female i went in to the dr with a cough and she was more concerned with the giant lump popping out from my left thyroid after the exam. They did a blood test and came back in the normal range but mildly low tsh. They then sent me for the ultra sound where they found my left thyroid was enlarged with a complex cystic 6.1 x 2.8 x 3.5 nodule centered in the mid pole greater in size than the other 2 that were also found during the exam im waiting on the biopsy to happen because the dr thinks there is a good chance of the larger nodule being malignant now but im getting some incredible pain in the base of my lower neck almost like whiplash where its super stiff and hurts when i move my neck around and the lump on my neck has become much more visible so i also believe it has grown in size. ive felt no actual pain in the region at all until now. i originally thought i just slept wrong on it but this has been persistent for the last week and a half even saw a chiropractor and massage therapist and received no relief. Ive taken ibuprofen tylenol and aleve and it doesn't do anything for the pain. Any ideas on if this is connected or has been a known symptom of thyroid cancer?

My dad has thyroid cancer. And he had a ct scan done last week. We are going to pick up the report to see what it says. And i just wanted to know what exactly would the report say if his cancer has spread to other parts of the body.These doctors that we are dealing with will not tell us anything. To them my dad is in perfect health. That is why i want to know what the report will say. Will it say malignant, distant, spread? Or what other words would it have in the report to suggest that the cancer has spread. Thanks.

What does low lymphocytes mean in thyroid cancer patient?
My father has thyroid cancer and for the last 3 months he has had low lymphocytes. He has had cellulitis on his lower leg that we have not been able to get to heal up. He has also developed a ulcer under his tracheostomy plate. And he has swollen lymph nodes in his chest, neck, groin and under his arms. We can not get the doctors to tell us what is going on with him. Please if anyone knows about these things or has experience this please let me know. We are desperate to find out what is going on with him. Thank you

Like Iodine is labled on most foods but I've been eating fresh chicken I've had chips one night I had a piece of Perri Perri chicken, and loads of pasta and once ommelette but I've been told you should not eat eggs? I thought the main Iodine Offenders where salt sea food and dairy but you can have dairy food in moderation? will this effect my treatment please help
Thyroid Cancer? Anyone with symptoms?
I sort of ask a similar question befor, and a guy said I probably have an infection and to go get myself checked. Well to start, I am. So far have had one ultrasound and discovered a 9mm solid cystic nodule in my thyroid. I was then seen by a endocrinologist. He said it looked suspicious and is now ordering another ultrasound and sending me to an ENT. I asked about a biopsy, and was told they normaly only do a biopsy if the nodual is 1cm 10mm or it has grown 20 % or more in 6 months. I have neck pain, my voice has changed, I get tiered all the time, my neck feels fat, my thyroid is slightly enlarged, let's not forget the 9mm lump in my thyroid, I get diarrhea often, I feel as if there is a pill stuck in my throat, have noticed its a lil harder to breath but not by much, I do have troubles swallowing and because I keep feeling something in my throat I sometimes gag and vomit when I eat. I'm also constantly swallowing cus I feel something there. I don't have an infection, nor a viris. I have been very healthy all my life and normaly don't see a doctor much at all. I do have an aunt who died in her 39's from thyroid cancer. And know of one niece who has an enlarged thyroid and a great grandmother with hyperthyroidism. If there is more in the family I don't know about them.
