Hey help for thyroid disorder!!?
hey 'm 17 year old and 'm suffering from hyperthyroidism about 2.7 more than normal level ....'m worried coz 'm just 17,you know, and little scared and also my weight has shoot up to 15 more kgs from last 2 years. more over it's hampering my performance and my thoughts......so pleasse help please tell me anything you know about it anything you can precribe or you have seen or experienced'm really worried so pleaseeee help i've studied it effects females in age of above 30 yearold and 'm just 17 which makes me even more scared
Could I have a thyroid disorder?
I have unexplained weight changes and a very difficult time losing weight, liquid bowel movements, many bowel movements at least 3 a day joint pains, and before I got on birth control I had extremely irregular periods between 29 50 days . Do you think there's a chance I have a thyroid problem?as far as the weight changes go, I consistently eat at or below my BMR and burn 400 600 calories 5 days a week on top of that........ and don't lose weight in fact have gained 5 lbs over the past few months

Muscle and joint pain for 3 mths and getting worse. Recent tests by rheumatologist show elevated thyroid antibody and CK level. I have been hypothyroid for 12 yrs. I currently take 135 mg Armour Thyroid each day. My last TSH was borderline high. I read where the goal is to get the TSH down around 1 instead of 3. Anyway I see the Dr. again in 3 wks. My RA factor was only 28 so he ruled that out. What can help my joint and muscle pain? I am taking Motrin, Tylenol and Diclofenac but they don't help. The pain could be and likely is fibromyalgia but its never been this bad. I am female, 52. Thanks.

Why don't Doctors believe thyroid disorders causes mental issues?
Listening to my doctor telling me, i need psych meds every time i visit is starting to make me feel crazy. Every since last year my life have been hell. I feel so out of place and out of touch with the world. All of the symptoms were so sudden and i went to the ER and got diagnosed. I'm only 20 and though I went to a therapist for depression when i was 15 16 I believe it was my thyroid then because none of the meds worked and made me feel worse. And i had other symptoms, like feeling cold, Ibs, weight gain, mood swings and etc. Now i'm dealing with so much, i truly feel crazy. I don't know who i am and that makes me cry, my mind is so out of place, i use to be smart and in college and now i've stopped because its that i feel dumb now, i can't remember, i have terrible anxiety,depression, mood swings like rage, irritability, bad thinking, weight gain, ear issues, blurry vision, dry flaky skin, and i can go on and on, I feel so old and i'm only 20. This is taking a toll on my life and i can't live this way forever. Is there anyone else that went through this? and did you get your life back after right treatment? or do you think its two separate issues going on here? any help or advice will be appreciated thx

Anyone with thyroid disorder have luck with gluten-free?
I found out a few months ago that I have Hypothyroidism and so I have been trying out some different natural forms of treatments, such as acupressure, adding coconut oil to my diet, and cutting out certain foods from my diet. I've been reading that gluten intolerance Celiac disease has been " linked" to Thyroid disorders. It's hard to know what to believe these days as far as what is good for you and what is the best treatments for this and that,etc. But I've tried various things and have noticed that cutting the gluten out of my diet seems to help with my thyroid symptoms the most. Just curious if anyone else out there with thyroid trouble has tried a gluten free diet and what kind of effects did you get?
