Low thyroid levels question :D?
I think i have a low thyroid atm, if i eat properly, and go back to my normal fitness, will my acne go away, i have a little dry skin on my face, doc says its normal and thyroid levels are a little lower then normal, he says im fine since i dont have bad skin around my body, brittle nails, my neck and hair is healthy and fine and isnt falling out in chunks. Do people only get hypothyroid when they stop producing thyroids properly? I dont think i have hypothyroid, im just wondering, will my thyroid levels go back to normal? It dropped when i started to fast lol, she said its completely fine and reversable once im back to normal thanks She also says theres no need for a blood test since i dont fit into the main symptoms. This isnt the first time i have dry skin, i had dry skin in march ish when i had lack of sleep, so it made thyroid levels drop etc. But i never had weight gain and after i slept properly i was back to normal Best answers to the most simple, im only 15 Just so you know my nails are perfectly fine, my skin is so healthy around my body, just there is a little dry skin on my face. I think its because my skin hasnt had enough moisture lately Bad diet from fasting . She says my hair is perfectly healthy aswell and its normal to have a little bit of dandruff, its just dry skin on your scalp.
My doctor said that my thyroid levels were fine but they would be a problem soon. I'm 17 should I be worried?
Will I need surgery or just medication? Please help me.

Could my thyroid levels be affected by my birth control and cause me to gain 50lbs?
I've done quite a bit of online research on this topic and was hopefully looking for a definite answer. I understand that most birth control methods cause you to gain a few pounds 5 15 which is mostly water weight. I also know that the side effects are all dependent on the individual and the type of birth control.None of this seems to answer why I have gained nearly 50lbs in the past year. I am certain my weight gain coincided directly with taking the pill and not due to change in eating habits or lifestyle. I have tried different pills and am somewhat active, but I am still fat. I have found that this could be a result of affected thyroid levels due to the estrogen in the pill. Does this sound like it could be a possible culprit? Is there medicine I can take for this to counteract my birth control's side effects? If you are experience in this area or you are a doctor I would appreciate your input.csa.com discoveryguides thyroid overview.php
Do these thyroid levels make sense?
I've been dealing w hypothyroidism since 19, I'm now 41. My levels were never out of the normal range and for the first years I didn't take anything for it. At age 26 I started losing hair and stopped having periods even though my levels were still within normal boundaries, I insisted on starting meds as I didn't want my hair to continue thinning. Over the years my meds have been raised as needed. I now take levothyroxine 112. For the past 6ish months I've been having more hypothyroidism symptoms. Super tired, gained 10 lbs. in three months, after joining a gym 4 5 workouts a week and dieting I gained 5 more lbs. I went in and got bloodwork checked and my levels came like this TSH was .043, my T4 was 1.16, and my T3 was 92. My Dr. says this is just fine and is keeping my meds the same. But i feel like crap. Not sure but to me it seems like the TSH is hyper and the T4 and T3 are hypo?? Am I wrong? I can't get into an endocrinologist until October. I don" t want to feel like a fat slug for 3 more months, has anyone else experienced this and is this normal?

So my thyroid levels came back high suggesting hypothyroidism but my antibodies test came back negative.?
My doctor says that its not a normal result and is sending me for more tests including a thyroid sonogram. She didn't explain or indicate what any of this meant and I am confused because I was expecting a clear hypothyroid result since it runs in my family. Does anyone know what other likely possibilities could be?
What causes high thyroid levels?
I had blood taken a few months back and my thyroid level was 3.6, they did another blood test a few days ago and now it's 4.47. They asked me to go back in for another blood test today, so they could do some more testing. What could be the reason for high thyroid levels?
Thyroid levels elevate more after starting armour thyroid?
so my levels were normal, just like 4.6 or 5.0 or something around there, and i had like 20 symptoms of underactive thyroid, so we decided to start armour thyroid to see how it would work.at first i was on 30 mg , once a day before breakfast. but it made me have bad headaches and my heart race. so i cut it in half everyday. so i got my blood tested 3 4 weekd later. and my levels got higher its like a 6 or something.why is that? is it cause i might not need a thyroid pill?
