Can thyroid symptoms come and go?
I am 37 years of age. I have been tested for thyroid problems, the tests came back negative. I have had heart palpitatoins off and on for many years. I seem to get exema when this all happens and I just cannot seem to get along with even myself. People often say that the TSH tests are not the only test for the thyroid. Is this true? should I ask for more tests? I want to feel like myself again. I feel very helpless. Could a hormone imbalance cause me have these feelings?Than you for any help, I really need it...

Is it possible to have a mixture of thyroid symptoms? Or is it something else?
I went to the doctor last week to get my BP checked. It turns out that my BP was normal and that the problem was the muscle on my back that was straining and giving me headache. The doctor then found out that I'm having tremors on my hand and that I'm having heat intolerance. I would normally feel very hot even in air conditioned spaces and sweat a lot more than usual. The doctor than took my blood sample to get me tested for any thyroid problem. I have irritable bowel syndrome been having that for ages . But I also feel very sluggish in the morning and often feel tired very easily. Last week I had to take 2 days leave off work coz I just couldn't get up and it's not like I'm having a terrible fever but I just couldn't get up because I feel like I'm too tired.I also have a history of depression and am still on medication. I'm having a very good recovery and I feel fine but lately I seem to get depressed for no reason which means there's no trigger and no reason for me to be upset which is weird. Since my depression, I've always had problems with my appetite. Though I can never seem to lose weight. I feel that my hair is also thinning. I often feel anxious. I am a singer and I've been having some problems with my singing for the past few months because my voice became very hoarse and sometimes my throat hurts whenever I strained it too much.I checked the thyroid symptoms but all of the symptoms is mixed up with the symptoms I'm having. Is it even possible to have a mixture of thyroid symptoms or is it something else?

Multinodular goiter with normal thyroid levels cause thyroid symptoms?????????
ok so for months now ive had a lot of thyroid symptoms and have had many many thyroid tests done through blood work. and they always come back normal. recently i had an ultrasound done and my thyroid is really enlarged and multinodular. had it tested and wasnt cancerous. doctors are reccomending for me to have my thyroid removed, but they dont guarantee that my symtoms will go away because they dont know if its caused by the thyroid or not. my symptoms are anxiety attacks, depression, heart palpitations, fatigue, pains in my arm, sometimes finger tips are numb, dizziness, off balance feeling, more painfull periods, and a bunch of other stuff. they only thing i dont understand is how can my thyroid be so enlarged that the doctors say its hude with nodules on it and function normally???? i dont know if i should go through with the surgery or not? please if anyone has information or has experienced anything like this i would really appreciate your help. i keep asking doctors and they just seem to not know whats going on.

What do my thyroid symptoms and test results suggest?
My PCP has referred me to an endocrinologist, and I want to have some idea of what to expect at my appointment. Obviously, I will talk about all of this with my doctor, but I'd like to have some idea of what I'm talking about I have not been diagnosed yet, but these are my test results Thyroglobulin Antibodies < 20 Reference Range < 20 Thyroid Peroxidase 342 Reference Range < 35 IU mL T3 Uptake 32 Reference Range 22 35 % T4 Total 6.8 Reference Range4.5 12.0 mcg dL Free T4 2.2 Reference Range 1.4 3.8 A year ago, my TSH was 6.1, but I don't know what it is now. The rest of my comprehensive metabolic panel was normal. My symptoms are significant weight loss, feeling cold, cold hands and feet, hot flashes, fatigue, foggy mind, forgetfulness, difficulty waking up, irritability, headaches, and periodic heart racing. I seem to have a mix of hyper and hypo symptoms. Any ideas what could be causing this and what to expect from treatment? How do they treat the symptoms of one condition without exacerbating the symptoms of the other? Thanks for any help you can give me
