Anyone know how bad the blood test is for thyroid tests?
I'm absolutely horrible with needles and stuff, and I have fainted badly before from getting blood drawn. Can someone tell me how much blood is taken for a thyroid test AND, how long the whole thing lasts? I've had a test once where the entire act of drawing blood was so fast, maybe ten seconds at most. Is this like that or will it be worse longer?

My thyro globulin antibodies results was 454My Thyroid Peroxidase andtibodies was 11385 as aposed to < 60 I know this is very high numbers but what does this mean I couldnt understand my doctor properly and I need someone to explain in idiot prof terms please

I am 25 yrs old and am 5 ft 10 inches tall. My T3 level is 1.42 ng ml.T4 level is 8.44 ug dl. TSH is 8.61 uIU ml.The blood was taken and the reports were delivered on the same day. Thanks in advance.

Why is my hair thinning? thyroid tests normal :(?
over the past few months, ive had a good amount of hair loss, mainly in the shower. i know everybody says you lose about 100 strands a day, and maybe it looks like more in the shower, but it's starting to feel thinner too. ive had my thyroid tests done due to other symptoms and they were normal, my gyno claims. she also did a hormone test that checks all your levels and they came back normal, but she did say they were on the " higher side of normal" whatever that means. not sure if it matters but ive had a history of ovarian cysts and weird female symptoms lol only reason i mention that is because ive been fearing endometriosis. can anybody give me some personal experience or ideas of what might be causing this?
My thyroid test number came back as 7.8, what does this mean?
I've had two thyroid tests, They didn't tell me the results of the first one, the doctors just requested I had another blood test.This test has come back with a TSH of 7.8 , What does this mean? The receptionist of the surgery wasn't able to tell me what this means but told me to book in with a doctor but the earliest appointment I booked is still ages away. Thanks all.

hello, my grandma has an under active thyroid and was certain i have the same problem as i am constantly tired even though i get the right amount of sleep, always poorly, heavy periods, dry skin, constipated, feel down sometimes for no reason, weepy, can never be arsed for anything, have no motivation, i am 18 years old 5ft6 and 130 pounds so im a bit overweight, general stuff like that so she advised me to get a blood test from the doctors. i've just had the results back and they said the results were all normal. could they be wrong? or are these symptoms maybe something else i can have? i know im not my normal right self i've felt this way for a while but i dont know whats wrong with me?

hello sir madamI am 29 years old.. just casually I have tested my thyroid tests at lab,My results areT3 triidothyronine 1.70 ng ml normal up to 1.8 T4 Total Thyroxine 11.24 ug dL normal up to 12.5 TSH Thyroid stimulating Hormone 1.96 mlU mlI really dont know about the thyroid disorders.. after seeing my result i am really afraid by seeing my T3 and T4 are some what near to the border of normal figures.Should I really think about my thyroid or I am unnecessary worrying about this issue..Please suggest me..actually i am very much worried because while searching some information on net, the T4 normal value is 11 but whereas my T4 level is crossed to 11.24 .I am really afraid of thyroid.
