Well I got thyroid ultrasound results?
So I have an appt on Tuesday with Dr. The office called me and told me my ultrasound test was " reactive" but the receptionist also the dr's sister told me she didn't know what that meant she said maybe it meant negative. I guess we know why her sister is the doctor...anyway...I have a thryoid hypoechoic nodule on my left thyroid but they also found multiple lymph nodes in my neck bilaterally one measuring 2.8 cm in diamter which is probably the one you can see sticking out my neck on the R side. It said close clinical correlation needed...any pointers to what that could mean? Tuesday feels like it'll never come, thanks....
Can you tell me what the thyroid ultrasound result means?
A low echo nodule is found in the right thyroid gland. Adjacent vascular structures are unremarkable. Isthmus is unremarkable.Do I have to worry?
Why would a doctor make a teen get a thyroid ultrasound? What thyroid conditions are there?
The doctor believes that a 17 year old has a lump in her throat. What could show up in an ultrasound? What conditions result from thyroid problems?
Help with thyroid ultrasound?
Let me start by saying that this all started 6 months ago. My gynocologist found a lump on my thyroid and sent me to my primary physician. After he felt of it he sent me to a ENT and had a ultra scan completed. After two Fine needle aspirations which resulted in a " there wasn't enough cells to determine" I am about tired of this game. My thyroid in the mean time has increased in size in just a few months. At my last visit with the doctor he told me to not worry and if it is still bothering me come back in 6 months so we can try again on the biopsy. This doctor isn't listened to me He also said that he wouldnt say it was a huge goiter if I was 7' tall but, being 5'2" tall it is huge. Still not sure why it isn't a big deal to him.. Before I left his office I received my scan results written down by the tech. This is what it shows Isthmus 4mm thick and somewhat unusual shape. Left thyroid lobe 17x25x39mm, hypoechoic area laterally in the mid pole region measures 5mm, exhibits vascular flow pattern. Right thyroid 20x28x72mm, 3 significant nodules. Nodule 1 6x5x9mm, hypechoic, homogeneous, no calcification, no discernible vascular flow pattern. A more anterior and lateral nodule in the miod pole area 8x7x8mm does exhibit vascular flow. Microcalcification is seen within this which are punctate and have coment tails. A smaller hypoechoic lesion is found and measures 7mm and has central calcification. Assessment Hashimoto's I am extremely tired, extreme sore joints, gained 10 lbs since April, course voice, I can also feel the goiter everytime I swallow. My doctor stated these were not symptoms of my thyroid problem. Because my labs that my gynocologist took 6 months ago showed normal range. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think I will try to get into another dr for a second opinion. Don't know if I am just overly concerned or if this is necessary. This thing is huge now.
I had a thyroid ultrasound a year ago that showed an irregular large thyroid. I just got another ultrasound?
done which would be a year after and it continues to be large inflamedand thick, thpe doctor didn't mention what will happen next. Should i go back and ask questions or perhaps see an endocronologist? i am confused and i feel as if nothing is being done. what should i do?
What is abnormal on a thyroid ultrasound?
I had a thyroid ultrasound done today and I'm just curious if anyone knows what all they measure. I understand they assess its overall size, but I did notice the technician measuring several, round, like bean sized, dark black spots. she probably took about 30 images all told. I've had surgery on my thryroid once, they removed a nodule on the right side, but I never saw the ultrasound images because they did the fna at the same time. I'm just wondering if there's normal little black areas they measure or if I've got some little nodules again.any info would be appreciated.. I'm very curious
I had a thyroid ultrasound at the endocrinologist and he saw 3 nodules?
My endocrinologist told me that he could see 3 thyroid nodules on ultrasound and that my thyroid is inflamed. But when I got a second ultrasound approximately 2 weeks later they said that everything is fine. I haven't gone back to the doctor yet, but I'm majorly frustrated because I'm still having some symptoms that made them think I had a thyroid problem in the first place tachycardia . Does anyone else know what this could be?? thanks
Why would a doctor make a teen girl get a thyroid ultrasound??? What thyroid conditions are there?

What does yellow and white mean in a thyroid ultrasound?
Doctors said I had a mass in my thyroid gland. My lymph nodes are swollen. I don't have mono and I am on synthroid, which hasn't helped the swelling. I have been on it for years. I had an ultrasound done today. I saw the red and blue colors and I understand that they represent the flow of blood. But, what does yellow, white, and green mean? Those were the colors that were showing in the area of my mass. Could you please tell me what those colors represent? I am supposed to get my results tomorrow but I am curious.

My thyroid ultrasound showed mutliple nodules with one being 1.2 cms so my gp is sending me to an ent for a?
FNA. I'm freaking out that it might be cancer and now I've been having all kinds of neck pain that I'm not sure if it's nerves. I've read lots that thyroid cancer has a low rate etc but I know several people who have had it so that odds are that great for one person to know several. Any good news stories out there? How was the FNA?
Thyroid ultrasound bright white spots?
I had a thyroid ultrasound with several different bright white spots on it and the tech put squares only around the images with that, what could that mean? thanksCould it be a purple giraffe growing in my neck? No, it can't be anything. Many times ultrasound technicians will view these sites because it makes them feel smart to be able to answer peoples' questions I was hoping one of them would answer my question, not someone who's obviously been on here all day and can point out the other question I posted at 6 15 this morning. I repost because there are no answers.
Findings of the Thyroid Ultrasound!!?
ok, so I had my thyroid ultrasound done and got the copy from my doctor. These are the findings The right lobe of the thyroid measures 4.7 x 2.0 x 1.9 cm. The left lobe of the thyroid measures 5.1 x 2.2 x2.3 cm.Both lobes are enlarged much more on the left than on the right. Both lobes are lobulated and heterogeneous in nature. Hypoechoic region is noted in the right lobe with poor definition of the margins measuring slightly more than 1.0 cm in size. This is solid in nature. Apart from such lesion, elsewhere on both sides, I do suspect even less well defined, even more heterogeneous solid nodules. Included in the defferential diagnosis is goiter. Appropriate clincial and laboratory correclation and nuclear scan examination are recommeded in this patient.Impression The thyroid lobes are abnormal bilaterally with enlargement and severely heterogenous characterisitcs. At least one, very probably more solid poorly defined heterogeneous nosules are indicated bilaterally, particularaly on the right side. Is this something someone would say is cancer or is it maybe just an enlargement of the thyroid?? I am 19 years old and want some answers before I get my nuclear scan because I am anxious to find out if any one has had similiar findings and how they are doing now Thanks
